Clamored Cantos was composed for Alex Caselman’s doctoral recital. The piece incorporates solo trumpet, piano, prerecorded media and live effects (processed using the very affordable Apple Mainstage).

The soloist typically uses a small MIDI keyboard to trigger different channel strip settings and an foot switch (sustain pedal) to enable/disable delay. This can be configured to work many different ways, so please contact me with any questions and we will work together to make a custom rig for your performance.

As the name implies, the music at time attempts to capture the energy of an angry crowd, then ultimately moves into a closing section that features a soaring and legato melody.
