Today Apple released a new app designed to help musicians get ideas out of their heads and on record.
Music Memos is simple on the surface, just a recording button when you open the app, but has a lot of neat features for a first generation app.
The app picks up on your tempo, analyzes your pitch, and offers the ability to add a bass line and a drum pattern. You can quickly change the chords with a tap or two and when you have a basic outline you can export it to Garage Band, or send the file to a Mac for opening in Logic.
Should be a lot of fun to add this app to the growing set of tools that continue to keep music-making fun.
